Queries return higher-quality responses when Halcyon’s data catalog is constrained (filtered) to relevant sources. For example, when querying about Green Mountain Power, the key information is most likely found in the Vermont Public Utility Commission’s filings, as that is where Green Mountain Power is based. In fact, including filings from other PUCs risks introducing spurious information. Filtering to the Vermont Public Utility Commission means that your query will only evaluate information from thousands of documents and dockets specific to Vermont, rather than the millions of documents in Halcyon’s catalog.
A Query from Search is a two-step process: first, filter a search to the relevant documents (e.g. documents published by Vermont PUC). Then, you submit a query, and Halcyon generates the response based on only those filtered documents.
