How does Halcyon work?
Energy regulators publish thousands of documents a day, spread across 50 public utility commissions, the RTOs/ISOs, FERC, and many other local, state, and federal organizations. The information energy professionals need is fragmented across these sources and often buried within lengthy filings. Halcyon collects this information, structures it, and enables you to surface what is relevant.
The process begins with automated collection. Our software automates data collection and organization: a series of crawlers retrieves newly published documents from the various publishers each day and brings them into our system.
With the data organized, we make it searchable, allowing users to locate the relevant dockets and documents quickly.
When it is searchable, we use AI to extract key information via natural language queries, which return a response sourced from the selected documents. These responses include citations with links back to the original source material for easy/rapid verification.
Once the key information has surfaced, Alerts help users proactively monitor those relevant interests and stay current as new filings are published.
These capabilities come together to build and continuously update our Data Subscriptions. Each subscription applies the same pipeline β automated collection, search, and AI-powered extraction β to a specific, high-value topic, that is then validated by energy subject-matter experts.
